Join us at The Growing Experience Urban Farm, Long Beach's largest farm, for an engaging observation of the Crop Swap, our monthly backyard produce exchange that brings together growers from across the city. Participation is easy—just bring some of your own homegrown goodies to share! Even if you come empty-handed, you won't leave that way, thanks to free produce available on the Growing Experience's Free Farmstand shelves. Chef Dina Feldman of Feel Good Salsa will lead a captivating food demonstration, teaching you how to make the most of the farm's bounty. Meet the LB Master Gardeners, a volunteer super force for good things happening in gardens across the city. Additionally, a representative from the Blue Zones will share insights on how a combination of good food, activity, and socializing can significantly enhance longevity, as evidenced by studies in various parts of the world.
