LB County Fair & Blue Ribbon Urban Ag Contest
EXPO ARTS BUILDING - FIRST FRIDAYS
6:30pm-8:30pm, Friday, April 5th 4321 Atlantic Ave., Long Beach, CA 90807 Join us at the Long Beach County Fair and Blue Ribbon Urban Ag Contest. We will take over the EXPO Arts Building for a variety show of local food and fun. Features include the Blue Ribbon Urban Ag Contest, a display of superlative local food and prepared goods. Multidisciplinary urban design and planning organization, City Fabrick will reveal their Long Beach Urban Agriculture Report . We will have food art shows including the photography of Bonnie Massey, a documentation of local a local food and humanitarian project in Nepal, the release of a new local food music video entitled Marketplace Mambo: Stepping Up Food Access and chef bites from famous local food folks like Chef Paul Buchanan from Primal Alchemy. Taste of the World local food tasting sponsored by the Port of Long Beach. Flower crown-making will be provided by Lindsay Smith of Sowing Seeds of Change Urban Farm. An "LBC"-themed veggie charcuterie display by Cha Cha Charcuterie.
